Fawkes-y, Festive, Fireworks T-Shirts

A fun crafting activity to get the kids involved with for Guy Fawkes is a festive fireworks t-shirt.

You will have to give the kids a hand, especially the younger ones. It takes a bit of time and patience too,

but it is a lot of fun and will make a great piece to wear to the fireworks!

What You’ll Need:

Clean, white T-shirt

Cardboard/ Cutting board/ Cookie sheet

Scissors

2 spray bottles

Water

Measuring cup

Fabric paint (glow in the dark or florecent is best!)

Paintbrush

Wax paper

What to Do:

1. Cut a piece of cardboard and place it inside the t shirt (so the paint doesn’t soak through)

2. Add about 1/3-cup of water to each spray bottle. Put the majority of the fabric paint into the spray bottle.

One spray bottle for each colour you are using. (you need to thin the paint enough to squirt out of the bottle, so

add as much water as you think is needed)

3. Squirt star burst designs onto the shirt in all different colours

4. Wait for the first side to dry and then turn the shirt over to paint the other side and let dry

5. When the shirt is dry, use a paintbrush to highlight different areas of your design with the remaining fabric paint.

6. Get ready to make an impression on Guy Fawkes Day!
