Tasty Thursday Tea: Healthy Mini Burgers

Give the classic burger a healthy kick by using lean ground beef, zero oil and whole wheat buns!

 

This is a fun, easy and healthy dinner idea to make your bonfire night feel like a summer barbeque!

Serve with fresh carrot sticks instead of fries!

 

Ingredients

1  pound  lean ground beef

2  tablespoons  ketchup

1/4  teaspoon  salt

1/4  teaspoon  pepper

1  package of whole wheat mini bread rolls

Cheese,  sliced

Your favorite condiments

 

Preparation

  1. Turn the oven to 180°c
  2. Combine the lean ground  beef, ketchup, salt and pepper and shape the mixture into little patties
  3. Place in the oven in a boiler pan
  4. Bake for 15-17 minutes until cooked through
  5. While still hot, place the patty on the bun with a few slices of cheese, add your favorite condiments and ENJOY!
