Calzones are delicious, but not exactly healthy; however, we have found a healthy alternative to this delicious treat
that tastes just as good!
What You Will Need:
Package of whole wheat or white pita bread
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup cubed mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 tablespoons minced Italian parsley
1/8 teaspoon salt
Spinach
20 to 28 slices pepperoni/slices of ham/meat of choice
What To Do:
- Mix the grated cheese, parsley, spinach, meat and salt in a medium bowl
- Place some of the filling inside half of each pita bread
- Place in the toaster (open side of the pita up)
- Once it pops up, ENJOY!
