Pita Calzones

Calzones are delicious, but not exactly healthy; however, we have found a healthy alternative to this delicious treat

that tastes just as good!

 

What You Will Need:

Package of whole wheat or white pita bread

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cubed mozzarella cheese

1 1/2 tablespoons minced Italian parsley

1/8 teaspoon salt

Spinach

20 to 28 slices pepperoni/slices of ham/meat of choice

 

What To Do:

  1. Mix the grated cheese, parsley, spinach, meat and salt in a medium bowl
  2. Place some of the filling inside half of each pita bread
  3. Place in the toaster (open side of the pita up)
  4. Once it pops up, ENJOY!
