About: You and the kids can learn the basics or for you nature lovers out there, improve existing skills. The session teaches your kids and you how to identify birds and good places to go birdwatching!

Homemade Sausage Rolls



Easy to cook and an excellent ‘make ahead’ dish for your next occasion with family and friends!

What You Will Need:

1/3 cups Breadcrumbs

2 Carrots, grated

1 Egg, lightly beaten

1 lbs / 500 g Ground Meat

2 Ready-rolled puff pastry sheets, thawed

2 Tbs Tomato sauce

3 Tbs Zucchini, grated

What To Do:

1. Preheat oven to 190°C

2. Line two baking trays with baking paper.

3. Place ground meat, zucchini, carrot, breadcrumbs, sauce and egg in a large bowl.

4. Mix until well combined.

5. Cut each sheet of pastry in half.

6. Divide filling into 4

7. Roll one portion of filling into long sausage shape.#Place filling on pastry, about 3cm from edge.

8. Brush edges of pastry with water.

9. Fold pastry over and press to seal, with seam on bottom.

10. Cut each roll into 5 pieces.

11. Brush tops with extra egg

12. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is cooked.

13. Serve with tomato sauce.

Tips

* Pork, veal, beef or chicken meats can be used.

* Sausage rolls can be wrapped in baking paper and then frozen before cooking.

* Perfect for a make ahead party starter.
