In The News: Everything’s Gone Woolly

Wool Week, an initiative founded by HRH Prince Charles, kicked off today as part of the coalition for the Campaign for Wool.

Numerous retailers and fashion labels are taking part, with Selfridges sending a flock of yellow sheep down Oxford Street yesterday, and Savile Row being closed down today for sheep to graze in a specially laid pasture, tended by two farmers dressed in Anderson & Sheppard bespoke wool suits.

Even the London Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour has created special installations and displays in support of the campaign (our Alexandalexa.com offices are close to Chelsea Harbour so we ran down to take the picture below).

To take part in this wonderful week of wool, a few of the Alexandalexa.com team members picked out a few pieces from our selection of 100% wool offerings from the designers carried at Alexandalexa.com

My kids’ and I have handmade wolly sweaters from norway, we wear them all at once during christmas and look a bit dorky, but we are cosy and comfy and that is all that matters;) It is too warm now to put them on though, but we will go take a look at the displays:)
