Purple Dragon: Where Kids Can Play in a Luxury Way

Purple Dragon

Britain’s most exclusive youth club, Purple Dragon, has raised the bar for children’s activity centers.

The club provides a place for little ones to play in a luxury way, with a astonishingly wide selection of classes and

activities for children of all ages, all conveniently programmed under one roof.

With an indoor bike track, cookery lessons, story time, French lessons, recording studio, minigolf, sensory maze for

babies, toddler yoga, Saturday morning disco, fashion styling and music lessons, a full day of activity choices is

available all for the entertainment for your kiddies.

With qualified child careers in every room, children over 4 do not require parental accompaniment, so parents can

relax in the Michelin star chef brasserie and enjoy and organic meal, get their nails done or eyebrows waxed in the

nail bar, or take parenting classes, nutrition classes or parental coaching courses while their children are entertained

and well taken care of.

All this luxury does come at a price. The annual fee for 1 child is £2,500 annually, £1,600 for a second sibling then

further siblings are free (also less than 6 months are free). Day passes cost £40 per child.

The club is located in Battersea Park on Alexandra Avenue, SW11 4NY and is open from 8am-9pm.

Great Games: Mancala

Mancala, is a great family board game played around the world. The name is derived from the Arabic work ‘naqala’

which means “to move” and the game itself originated in Ethiopia in the 6th century.

Mancala is the most popular name for the game; however, it is known by a number of other names including

“sowing”, “count-and-capture”, Kalah, Oware, Congkak, Omweso, Ünee tugaluulakh, Bao, Sungka and Igisoro.

To play, each player places a certain number of seeds in each of the pits on the board. A player may count their stones

to plot the game and when their turn comes they must remove all the seeds from a pit and place one in each of the

following pits all around the board.

The object of the game is to capture more stones than your opponent so that their your side of the board is empty.

The game often made of wood with various colourful objects used for the seeds.
