Great Green Handmade Gift!

This is a great green gift idea for your children to give to their friends over the holidays made, with love, by their own

little hands!

 

What You Will Need:

Old Crayons (paper off)

Vegetable Spray

Muffin Tins

 

What To Do:

  1. Pre Heat the Oven to 150 degrees Celsius
  2. Spray the muffin tin with vegetable spray and put crayons into each spot
  3. Bake for 7-8 minutes
  4. Place in the freezer until cooled completely

 

 (You can also use themed muffin tins to make fun holiday shapes!)

Taco Salad

What You Will Need:

1 lb extra-lean ground beef

1 packet reduced-sodium taco seasoning

2/3 cup fat-free crème fresh

2/3 cup mild salsa

8 cups shredded iceberg lettuce

1  pint halved cherry tomatoes

1 can kidney beans or black beans, rinsed and drained

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

4 cups of tortilla chips, broken into bite-size pieces

(Optional)  Avocado, pitted, peeled, and cut into thin strips, Sliced black olives, Lime wedges

 

What To Do:

  1. In a non stick pan, brown the beef while stirring in the taco seasoning.
  2. Pour crème fresh and salsa in a small bowl and stir or whisk until well blended
  3. Allow the kids to shred the lettuce, break up the tortilla chips, rinse the beans and stir the dressing
  4. Serve cooled beef, dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, cheese, and tortilla chips in bowls.
