Kids and parents shouldn’t have to miss out on this season’s festival fever. Whether you’re looking to rock out or expand your mind in a new aged workshop, festivals of every persuasion are providing safe and stimulating environments for children and their families.
Here are some of the best for the rest of summer months…
Big Chill Festival

This year Big Chill promises its best ever facilities for families including the Little Chill Festival area just for kids. Here you will find a dedicated area for children, family camping and midnight movies. Workshops for kids run alongside entertainment from Magician Mr Bamboozle, clown Matt Zaz and award-winning illustrators and authors Hannah Shaw and Andy Stanto.
5-7th of August, Regents park London
Lollibop doesn’t just cater for kids but is created especially for them. This year sees performances from Zing Zillas, Dick and Dom, Horrible Histories, Waybuloo and Charlie & Lola! All activities are free with the ticket price and check out the food stalls which cater to little bellies. We are looking forward to the Enchanted Forest and the Bubble Zone.
Thames Festival (FREE)

The free and conveniently located Thames festival is a great way to mark the end of summer. Performances and events are family friendly with storytelling, dancing and workshops for the kids. Mum and Dad can spend a chilled out weekend sampling fare from ‘Feast on The Bridge’. Push out bedtime for the Night Carnival, Sunday 7.45 – 9.30pm, Britain’s biggest and best illuminated night-time Carnival procession.
